This book captured the spirit of both Sherlock Holmes and the Phantom of the Opera quite well. Probably the best Sherlock Holmes I've seen outside of Conan Doyle's work. I found the portrayals of Christine and Raoul very interesting - and kind of true to my own opinion. My favorite part of this story, however, was the Phantom. He was a sympathetic character and got the ending he deserved. A well written book with lots of interest and suspense.
