Michael Pine is small for his age and lives with a foster father who only cares for the money he receives for Michael’s keep. Michael is being pressured to join a gang who vandalize and rob but he is caught at his first job and given a second chance in the form of an after-school job and daily reporting in to the court. His job allows him to meet Lemuel Gulliver who introduces him to a race of thumb-sized people who live under Lemuel’s protection. When Lemuel leaves, Michael is forced to take on the responsibility of caring for the Lilliputians. This book has adventure, excitement and fantasy nicely told. Reviewed by BPL volunteer EE.
