Torchwood members are reunited for one more battle. Sadly, the series has moved to the US and involves the CIA and a "family." The central character/bad guy is a child molester/murderer. Each episode also has a really annoying introduction that I think was supposed to stir up excitement. My least favorite season despite the American actors I usually like.

Second Episode does not work after 16 minutes

In general, this was a very poor series. They tried to make It into an American action show, which it is not. The humour didn't work. The Americans belittled Jack and Torchwood, which simply isn't cool. The episode which is set in the 1920s with Jack and Angelo which helps create the backstory was by far the best episode. Poor Jack gets killed more often than usual with some nasty torture and betrayal. I was happy to have Jack back to his immortal self by the end of the series. His mortality in this one allows him to age 10 years, so if they restart the series again, there is some explanation. I hope they do. Jack and Gwen have been through a lot together, and are such close bosom friends that need and compliment each other.

Comes close to the drama of Children of Earth but not quite.

Too bad the series is over, really loved the characters and the sometimes whacky story lines. Guess we'll have to be happy with Dr. Who instead.
