This movie starts with a lie, a Huge one for that matter....in the fine tradition of Israeli propaganda where it shows the Israeli army as humane and caring. In this instance the israeli solider tries to help the Palestinian Woman who is giving birth and call for an Ambulance to help her.
The reality is something completely different....many Palestinian Women gave birth at check points (like the one pictured in this movie). And many died because the Israeli solider refused to allow the ambulance to come through and help. This happened so many times to Palestinian Men, Women and children.
Israel and its army simply don't care as the Palestinians are disposable entities since they are not Jews and the less of them there are the more land will be available for the White European Jewish settlers to come and steal.
That IS the reality that has been happening since 1948. Israel is an Apartheid state that discriminates based on religion and skin color and the more Americans know about this reality the faster things can change.
Do your own research, don't take my word for it even though I have seen it with my own eyes first hand.
I seem to remember that this is a true story. For some generations, both the Arab governments and the Israeli governments encouraged their gay men to have relationships with each other.
Then sometime after the wall between the West Bank and Israel was built, this happened.
As I remember it, a Palestinian suicide bomber was going to commit a heinous crime in Israel, yet in the end the only thing he could actually bring himself to do was to blow up his own lover.
It is a very painful movie. All the more so because it's probably true.
