I must be missing something here as the reviews on Goodreads often give it a 4 star rating. I like the strong female character lead, Marie Claire but the story moved too slowly for me; hence I skimmed the middle. Surprising and heartbreaking ending.

I pre-read all books that I buy for my niece (10) and nephew (9). I didn't finish reading this one because the first two chapters had too many references to pedophilia and too many uses of the word "goddamn".

A fast moving story with an unexpected conclusion.
