Add a CommentDirector Robert Mulligan ("To Kill a Mockingbird") directs this Western film about a spree killing Apache on a mission to regain his son born in a ten year relationship between himself and a captive white woman (Eve Marie Saint). Saint's character has lost much of her ability to speak English so we don't really get to appreciate her great acting ability as we did in "North by Northwest" or "On the Waterfront." Gregory Peck, a military scout, plays an extremely laconic role, such that he often replaces words with stern facial expressions. Somehow, the film seems to be short of a good or excellent film.
