This book was a real disappointment. I chose to read it based on many rave reviews and 'best of' lists, however, I found the novel cliched and boring. The characters are more caricature than not, making it difficult to relate to them. The writing lacked clarity, the dialogue was trite and this comic novel? satire? or farce? left no lingering laughs or insights.
