This last book in the Mr. Mercedes trilogy has the suspense and action of a good thriller. The protagonists, including a sweet, sincere woman with Asperger's Syndrome, are all sympathetic characters. The science fiction angle is great!

To me, one of the best set of King's books, the Bill Hodges Trilogy- Because of the tie that binds the primary characters in all 3 books-love, with the needs of each person and the ability of each to receive and perceive that love and use it to keep each other safe and strong in their beliefs. A less sadistic and more thought provoking feel-good King book. Cheryl S

A very good read. The Bill Hodges triology was excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery, interesting stories, and a diabolical "perk."

Great ending to the trilogy, although some parts were a bit repetitive (crimes, past events, dialogue). Mr. Mercedes was the best, in my opinion.

I loved this series and End of Watch did not disappoint. Great way to conclude the trilogy.

This was an excellent book to finish off an excellent trilogy. King does a great villain.

Not his best and not his worst. I found the explanation of the IT aspects (by technogeeks Holly and Brady or boomer know-nothing Hodges) tedious. Otherwise, the plot moved fairly well keeping me mostly engaged. I still prefer earlier King. He doesn't seem to be invested so much in his later books and is coasting in my view.

“End of Watch” is the final installment of the Bill Hodges Trilogy by Stephen King. Even though, after reading the first two books in this series, I would not consider this King’s typical work – this book tied it all together in a nice little bow. This series has everything of a great crime fiction series PLUS great supernatural aspects, that are typical King.

Summary: Bill Hodges, Holly, and Jerome return to put an end to the Mercedes Killer (Brady Hartsfield) in this third novel of the “Bill Hodges Trilogy”. When we last left the gang, Brady was in a vegetative state because Holly bashed his brains in with the Happy Slapper. Since Brady has been in brain injury ward of the hospital, strange unexplainable things have been happening – i.e. objects moving around on their own. When Bill is called in by his former partner to investigate a new string of suicides, he starts to consider that maybe Brady isn’t a vegetable after all.

My Thoughts: It is no secret that I am a fan of Stephen King. I have always enjoyed his writing style, humor, and imagination. I found “End of Watch” to be a True North example of King’s amazing talent. Only in King’s World can you have a typical detective story with a such a supernatural twist. I highly recommend this series!

FYI – In an effort to keep from spoiling any of the details of this amazing series, I am keeping my comments short and sweet. Please check it out for yourselves!

I loved Mr. Mercedes, and Finders Keepers was alright. End of Watch was kind of a let down. Very far-fetched, very much an older person writing about young people.
