Bonjour! Escargot is a beautiful French snail who wants only two things:

1. To be your favorite animal.
2. To get to the delicious salad at the end of the book.

But when he gets to the salad, he discovers that there's a carrot in it. And Escargot hates carrots. But when he finally tries one--with a little help from you!--he discovers that it's not so bad after all

Very cute monologue by a French-accented snail who really, really wants to be your favorite animal. Oh. And he hates carrots. Or does he? Great book for the little picky eater in your family!

I have nothing fancy to say about this book. It's deliciously adorable with its illustrations and narrative of a frou-frou snail with his goal to get to the delicious salad at the end of the book.
But alas, there is the dreadful
C A R R O T!

C'est detestable!

I read it in an outrageous French accent, and it adds to the charm immensely. Give it a try!

Perfect for story time to read-aloud! (work on your French accent) - heartwarming, funny, a must read!

With interactive opportunities and rich vocabulary, Escargot is sure to tickle your preschooler’s funny bone and may even encourage veggie consumption. C’est magnifique!

This is definitely one of my favorite picture books of 2017. I highly recommend reading it in a French accent. I have read this aloud to elementary school classes and Escargot was a huge hit!
