His plans to shape our future in America made me upset. He caused the U.S.A. to be the Welfare payers to the world. I just hope those immigrants began to love it here and help keep us great.

Very interesting look at the final months of the Obama presidency with a focus on the diplomatic department. Obama pops in and out, but the camera mostly follows John Kerry, former Secretary of State, Ben Rhodes, former National Security advisor and Samantha Power, former US Ambassador to the UN as they almost frantically race to get policies in place before the next administration arrives. As the film begins, they assume it will be a Clinton victory, but they begin to sweat when it becomes clearer that Trump has a chance. Watching their reactions to the Trump victory was painful (and brought back awful memories). The movie is a tad bit in thrall of Obama and his team and I wish their haloes were not so burnished, but considering what is going on now both in general and in foreign policy in particular, it's hard not to wish for what had been and wonder about what could have been if the 2016 election had ended differently.

Interesting and worth seeing, especially if one is interested in diplomacy and foreign affairs.
