Of course like every Disney movie these days there had to be a "strong woman" song added but overall it was entertaining.

Crazy ideal, why not cast actual people from the middle eastern country. Aladdin is a folk tale of Middle Eastern origin. And I'm tired of Hollywood constantly white washing other cultures history and heritage. The main Actors in this movie is from USA or the UK. Except for Mena Massoud who plays Aladdin. Over all, there are efforts made, whether through good faith or just market savvy, to update Princess Jasmine into a people's champion who might prefer ruling to romance. Enough to make you wish the Disney people had gone whole hog and just called it Jasmine.

Fun movie especially with Will Smith as the genie. I never saw any of the previous versions. Took me a while to get into the movie, I would play the DVD 15 minutes then stop for the next day. Just couldn’t get into it. But as the story progressed and Will Smith came on the scene, the movie improved. Love the singing, costumes. I had subtitles on, so I could see the words. Enjoyable family movie!

the genie was the only good part of the movie. everything else was just typical disney crap.

A really fun movie to watch. Performers were all very talented and special effects was just right. Will Smith sort of played his Prince of Bel Air persona....but I guess it was appropriate.

I really enjoyed this Disney live-action remake. It looks absolutely beautiful. The setting, the costumes, the cinematography are all spectacular. The music was great and the musical numbers were really well done. I really liked the actors who played Aladdin and Jasmine. They were both really appealing, and I really liked how Jasmine's character was enhanced and she was even smarter and stronger than the animated Jasmine. I also thought Will Smith did a great job as the genie. He was no Robin Williams, but he made the genie his own and I really liked the humanity and personality he brought to the role. The one weakness of this film is Jafar. The animated Jafar is so menacing and evil that he one of Disney's greatest villains but unfortunately the Jafar in this movie seemed whiny and weak and not the sinister, powerful villain he should have been. Overall I thought this version of Aladdin was gorgeous to watch and it was fun overall.

I liked that Jasmine was made to be a strong woman, but it was unrealistic that it would be allowed for her to have power in the time this movie is taking place. Aladdin looks too good to be a street rat: perfect white teeth, good looking colorful clothes, etc.

More enjoyable than I thought it would be. Some of the changes to the story irked me a little bit, but overall, I loved the musical numbers and the beautiful cinematography.

Aladdin: Do we need the top knot?
Genie: That’s my little cherry on top.
Aladdin: Okay, okay.

50 quotes in IMDb already, thanks to contributors. The Genie's song caught me by surprise and did not get the lyrics the first time:

Uh-oh! Watch out!
You done wound me up.
'Bout to show you
what I'm working with. Uh!
Well, Ali Baba
He had them 40 thieves
Had a thousand tales
But, master, you're in luck
Because up your sleeves
You got a brand of magic
Never fails
You got some power
In your corner now
Heavy ammunition
In your camp
You got some punch, pizzazz
Yahoo, and how
All you gotta do
Is rub that lamp
And then I'll say
Mister, man
What's your name?
What will Your pleasure be?
Let me take your order
I'll jot it down
You ain't never had
A friend like me
Life is your restaurant
And I'm your maitre d'
Come whisper to me
Whatever it is you want
You ain't never had
A friend like me
We pride ourselves
On service
You the boss
The king, the shah
Say what you wish
It's yours, true dish
How about
A little more baklava?
You ain't never had
A friend like me...
