Read: Retribution Clause by Ilona Andrews

3 stars because I would like to read more about these interesting new characters. Would also love to visit new cities and see how their response to the shifts compare with Atlanta's.

Hex Appeal is a book of short stories by a number of today’s urban fantasy writers. Jim Butcher’s entry fits neatly into his Harry Dresden series and Simon R. Green uses his Nightside series setting to provide a story with Dead Boy. I didn’t much care for the rest of the stories as they struck me as chick lit romances featuring fantastic characters. Erica Hayes and Carrie Vaughan’s stories were exceptions. However, the Butcher and Green stories were by far the best of the book.

"Bigfoot on Campus" is a must read for Harry Dresden fans. Its Jim Butcher at his best.

That's what I like about this series: more of same. I like the series, I like the authors, and the stories. There even seems to be a consistent ratio of great reads (most) to lackluster ones (a couple).
