This film is about Maud Lewis and her art. Self-taught, living in a tiny house that she covered with flowers, Maud Lewis painted the countryside around her, a land of peace and beauty. The film, in a series of slow dissolves, moves back and forth between her paintings and Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. As one critic comments: "She paints the things we dream of."
