Make It Fast, Cook It Slow is the first cookbook from Stephanie O'Dea, the extremely popular slow cooking blogger: affordable, delicious, nutritious, and gluten-free recipes to delight the entire family.

In December 2007, Stephanie O'Dea made a New Year's resolution: she'd use her slow cooker every single day for an entire year, and write about it on her very popular blog. The result: more than three million visitors, and more than 300 fabulous, easy-to-make, family-pleasing recipes, including:

Breakfast Risotto Vietnamese Roast Chicken Tomatoes and Goat Cheese with Balsamic Cranberry Syrup Falafel Philly Cheesesteaks Crème Brulee --and much more. This book doesn't have pictures, we tried two of the recipes and they didn't come out good (specially the curry). I will be returning this book.

The best aspect of this recipe book is that the recipes are not overly complicated. (And, so far each one has turned out quite well.)

I find the down fall of many slow cooker books is the use of cans and cans of "cream of something" soup. This series by Stephanie O'Dea contains none of that. I have tried several of her recipes to rave reviews - I highly recommend it!

Useful recipes and I particularly like the part of "making it fast" and letting it "cook slow"

This has old stand bys and new stuff to try in your slow cooker like pumpkin spiced latte, oatmeal, and corn bread. I like to try new things in the slow cooker. I will definitely have to check this one out again.

This book is FULL of super tasty recipes. Definitely a must-read for anyone with a slow-cooker.
