Summary
Add a SummaryLars the polar bear is exploring when he comes across a dog which has come from a submarine. The dog Frank tells Lars that they have two baby polar bear cubs on board who arent even able to swim yet. Lars decides to take them back to their parents. They leave the submarine and with the help of an Arctic fox, they eventually make it back to Lars' parents. The ending is kind of a cliff hanger as they say the cubs will be returned to their parents in the spring time.

Add a CommentOnce again the kids loved the Lars book! I am giving this one a slightly lower score simply because the ending is not the best and leaves it at a cliff hanger. This book deals with the envieonmental issues surrounding the arctic. Ice melting etc, Lars finds a submarine and its dog, and ends up coming across two stranded polar bear cubs as well. Fun read!
The core issue of the melting arctic and the danger it presents to polar bears is quickly addressed here, but then it moves onto Lars once again helping the critters of the north. The ending feels more like a to be continued, so hopefully, the two new polar bears will make a reappearance.
