This is a great movie: its fun, funny, clever, inventive, uses many symbols and mytho-poetic tropes, interesting characters and their development, and there are several morals that it imparts (quite Guilliam-esqe, in fact). I liked how the 'knights and knaves' (a la Smullyan) device was used, but it was only used once! The upshot the film - "you have no power over me" which the main character discovers when she confronts the King of the Goblins - is an important antidote to the exaltation of the power of "story" and narrative that has become a dogma in recent years (indeed, once one realizes that a story is a story, it loses its power).
