An amazing Disney film showing that Disney had bounced back from the slump it found itself in the 1990's, but was overshadowed by the next movie that came out. However, I think Tangled is better. I adored the heroine in this film. She was spunky, optimistic, and stronger than she looked. The hero was snarky, fun, and adventurous. The villain was one of the most manipulative villains in Disney's history. She only wanted one thing, and succeeded in holding onto her goal for eighteen years. While the songs weren't as catchy as the ones that came later, they were still fun, especially "Mother Knows Best," "I've Got a Dream," and "I See the Light." Overall, this movie was one of Disney's finest, and shows what a good decision it was to hire the entire Pixar team for their animation department.
